GO Fleet is a sailing program at Canandaigua Yacht Club that is designed to provide it's participants with a relaxed racing sailing experience. No spinnakers of any kind are allowed and in general there is no foredeck activities. This allows smaller crews and less boat preparation. GO Fleet makes it easy for new or novice sailors to advance by providing all elements of a more structured sailing program with the mentoring of more experienced skippers. It has a strong element of social sailing providing an excellent opportunity to introduce friends and family to the sport. GO Fleet enriches the CYC club experience by having all the classes sail together. This is further encouraged by the communal supper that follows the racing.
