If you hit the RC boat or pin, even if
you already crossed the line, you must do a circle and recross the
line.
After you finish, you must make
reasonable efforts to avoid boats still racing.
You’re considered finished when any part
of the boat, crew, or rigging, in normal position, crosses the line.
As long as you don’t hit the pin or the RC boat, you don’t have
to fully cross the line. You
can dip back downwind or drift backwards (if you’re in irons).
“Normal position” means a crew can’t stick a paddle across the
line, or in a downwind finish, you can’t let your spinnaker fly out in
front of the boat to get across the line sooner.
