J/22 class sail boat is the ideal racer/daysailer that is well suited for
large inland lakes like Canandaigua Lake. Its nimble dinghy like response,
compact size and large cockpit make it ideal for 3-4 people racing in the
varying winds of the finger lakes. The efficient class jib is size optimized
for maximum performance and makes it easy to tack for most crews. The
spinnaker can be flown by one person in the cockpit and one person doing
foredeck. The J/22 is very portable and extremely easy to dry sail. It can
be launched with 2 people and those same 2 people can step the mast making
the boat one of the more portable keel boats of its size. |

Mendon, Honeoye Falls all located in Monroe County NY. Canandaigua Lake is
also located in the Ontario County towns of Victor, Farmington, Geneva
